Background

Private Tutor Atlanta is a unique, interactive online and in-person tutoring service. It was founded by Veronica Cabrera, a Montessori teacher/'guide' and Speech/Language therapist who has a passion for serving Jesus, teaching students in ways they can understand, and for making learning simple and stimulating.

Ms. Veronica is a native Spanish speaker from the island of Puerto Rico. At a young age, she moved with her family to the states and still recalls the first few days of school in America, not being able to understand or communicate with others. This experience fueled her passion to pursue a career in education and in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

In 2010 & 2014, Ms. Veronica experienced Jesus and Holy Spirit in powerful, life changing encounters. In 2019, Ms. Veronica felt the strong call from the Lord to move to Atlanta, GA. The transition has been marked by the Lord's leading, His powerful 'arm' and faithfulness. It has been a humbling and life-giving experience.

2021
Ms. Veronica is expanding her services to include Spiritual Development; for more information click here (those appointments are free of charge). The other services will continue as usual.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a tutoring session, please call Ms. Veronica at 470-665-7732.

Parent/Student Testimonials

Ms. Veronica is the best tutor you will ever meet! She has been tutoring my son for a couple years now, and he has come so far, due to her amazing skills. She uses a variety of techniques to teach each child how they learn best. She has over 20 years of teaching experience including speech/language training and does great with kids with learning disabilities such as mine.
I remember the first session my son had with her, I mentioned I had been trying to get him to memorize his tens, to make counting easier, for over a year because memory was so incredibly difficult for him. In less than ten minutes she had taught him, and I was in tears. She used several methods simultaneously to help him (song, writing it out on paper, pointing to them while singing, explanation, tapping for rhythm, etc).
He was a year behind when they started and now he is on grade level. She has also worked on his speech with him, and he has improved enough that he no longer needs speech therapy at school. In this time, I have gotten to know her, and the volunteer work she does to help her community. She is just an amazing person!
She is also flexible with her schedule, and always willing to reschedule when something comes up. You won’t find another tutor of this quality."

"A true delight! Veronica has the patience, skills and gift of teaching. My son has a specific learning disability, and hates school work. On the other hand, Veronica immediately kept him engaged as they worked together. I strongly recommend Veronica to anyone."

"Veronica is a wonderful tutor. She helped my kindergartner with virtual schooling last fall, exclusively in Spanish.

In addition, she is a warm and caring person and that comes across."
